Krátký fashion film je o kolekci Michaely Čapkové s názvem BLACK. Je inspirována pracovním oděvem z přelomu 19. a 20. století a fotografiemi Augusta Sanderse, jenž ve svých souborech tento oděv zachytil. Jako výchozí materiál byl zvolen tradiční český Kanafas, jenž byl původně užíván v tradičních českých chalupách na peřiny, závěsy a ubrusy a který byl ručně barven do požadovaných odstínů a doplněn technickým materiálem s kůží. Kolekce je mimo jiné inspirována také filozofií a přístupem japonského návrháře Yohji Yamamota.
Short fashion film is about Michaela Capkova’s collection, which is based on typical czech fabric “kanafas”, which was used on curtains, tablecloths, duvets, blankets etc. in historical czech cottages and more typically for women’s skirts. Author of the fashion collection Michaela Čapková (MIM), using this material to make men’s collection, which is inspired by men’s working clothes from early 20th century and the life of craftsmen as well. These clothes were captured by German midwar photographer August Sander. It is known that Sander’s photos are Yamamoto’s inspiration. The main idea of this collection is therefore connection of work clothes, the typical czech fabric kanafas (and its use in diferent contexts) and the preservation of the authenticity in connection to the Yamamoto’s approach. In collection author uses leather and new technical material, too. Michaela would like to make present casual menswear from typical work clothes.
